New President Installed
Installation of our new Rotary President conducted by PDG Stacy Self. Travis Mayer accepts the duties and responsibilities as President of the Chesterfield Rotary Club.
Officer Installation Dinner
Another great installation dinner! Club leaders are sworn in for another Rotary Year! Led by (from right to left,) President Travis Mayer, President Elect - Gail Strong, Secretary - Mark Hyde, Master at Arms - Patrick Flynn.
New Officers Installed
New Chesterfield Rotary Officers installed. The officers place one hand on the shoulder of another and repeat the oath of office as our new team is installed by Stacey Self, PDG from District 6060.
Charter Presented
A long standing tradition of passing our Club Charter is continued as Nan passes the Charter to Travis. The active president takes the Charter and displays it in a place of prominence in their home or office until the next installation where it will be passed to Gail Strong - our president elect for 2012.
Plaque presented to Nan
Travis presents Nan with an out-going gift gavel for her home office wall. Nan did a fantastic job as President of our club last year and we look forward to another great year!
Rotary Members Participate in Operation Clean Stream
Mark Heyde, Travis Mayer and his daughter, and Jeffery Leathers help clean up the stream during Operation Clean Stream on the Meramec River last Saturday, August 28th.
The Meramec is a little less cluttered
Mark Heyde and Jeff Leathers haul an old Chevy Tailgate from the muck along the bank of the Meremac near Valley Park while working for Operation Clean Stream.
You never know what you will find
Travis Mayer and his daughter help clean up the Meramec near Valley Park. This river flooded sometime ago and most likely a lot of the trash recovered had been washed downstream during the flood.
No - they are not panning for Gold
Travis and Jeff are definitely looking for trash - not gold. Lots of trash and stuff was cleared from the Meramec that day.
Teamed up with a Rotary Scholarship Recipient
Here's a Rotary Scholarship recipient (a freshman pre-med student at UMSL) helping Travis's daughter clean up along the banks of the Meramec River.
